According to the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Kunshan Pangolin Robot Co., Ltd., the largest manufacturer of catering robots in China, will enter Japan and will cooperate with the Japan University of Electrical and Telecommunications to expand the demand in Japan. At present, the Dutch theme park Huis Ten Bosch in Nagasaki Prefecture is considering the introduction of a meal delivery robot.
The headquarters and factory of Kunshan Pangolin are located in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, and have sales networks throughout China.
According to reports, Kunshan pangolin robot will set up a legal person in Japan during the year, and set up a research and development center in the University of Electrical and Telecommunications in April 2017. Campus Create, the technology transfer agency of the University of Electro-Communications, supports the Kunshan pangolin robot to enter the Japanese market. Kunshan Pangolin has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Kikuchi, which is engaged in mold making and robotics.
The delivery robots of Kunshan Pangolin are priced at about 500,000 yen (about 30,000 yuan) per unit.
The “Weird Restaurant†under the Dutch theme park Huis Ten Bosch is cooked and welcomed by robots, and robots that introduce pangolins are currently being discussed.
