Tektronix video quality solutions combined with AWS media services support end-to-end video quality assurance for pay-telephone operators, broadcasters and OTT providers moving to cloud computing
Beijing, China, February 23, 2018 – Tektronix, the industry ’s leading innovator of video testing, monitoring and diagnostic solutions, has announced that its video quality assurance solution is now compatible with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elemental MediaLive, AWS Elemental MediaConvert and AWS Elemental MediaPackage interoperate. This combination provides video providers (including pay TV operators, broadcasters, and OTT providers) with a scalable and cost-effective method to convert and package video content into various formats, while ensuring The quality of the entire video workflow delivered.
Customers turning to these services can now use Tektronix Sentry to monitor live video streams in the workflow, from the AWG cloud portal to the content delivery network. For file-based analysis, Tektronix Aurora's file-based QC ensures the consistency of media files on Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), meeting quality, regulatory, and workflow requirements.

Sentry also provides true video quality of experience (QoE) and image quality analysis on encrypted networks. Software-based solutions can be deployed anywhere in the cloud or in a hybrid network environment.
Aurora's file-based QC-AWS Elemental MediaConvert is a file-to-file video transcoding service with packaging and encryption capabilities that can be used as an independent service or can be operated within a larger video workflow. By combining Aurora and AWS Elemental MediaConvert, video providers can automatically perform file QC on Amazon S3 storage to ensure a reliable, high-quality VOD movie-on-demand viewing experience. For OTT services, Aurora's perceived video quality and TekMOS image rating will find any coding and alignment issues, ensuring a great viewing experience. Depending on the structure of the workflow, Aurora can view folder automation from the web-based user interface, through the API or through Amazon S3, and perform QC tests on files in the Amazon S3 folder.
