Huang Yuping believes that although Founder Microelectronics only has 6-inch wafer production line and 0.4um process, it can provide customized advanced design to balance cost and performance according to customer needs, and still has strong market competitiveness. For example, the CRD scheme currently applied to LED constant current driving can only find 100V products on the market. In the view of Founder, it is very reluctant to resist 220V AC, and FMIC can provide CRD scheme up to 140V.

In addition, Huang Yuping believes that the existing 0.4um process can be further upgraded to a finer line width, but FMIC will definitely consider the competitiveness of the final product with the customer to decide whether to do it. At present, silicon-based power devices are close to the theoretical limits of materials, and it is gradually difficult to meet the requirements of the current application market for high-power density, ultra-high frequency and harsh environments. The development of new materials will greatly expand the application range of power semiconductors. GaN wide bandgap semiconductor materials have become the first choice for new power electronic devices because of their excellent performance.

Founder Microelectronics has also begun to comprehensively deploy emerging technologies in the future.
