"2017 quantum dot visual carnival" Beijing Railway Station started

In an effort to further advance the adoption of quantum dot display technology and bridge the gap between innovation and consumers, on November 26th, the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with TCL, Samsung, and leading experts in quantum dot technology, launched the “2017 Quantum Dot Visual Carnival” in Beijing. The event will continue with pop-up sessions at Shanghai Grand Times Square on December 2nd and Shenzhen Huangting Square on December 9th, spreading the energy of quantum dot technology across the country. The carnival aims to bring quantum dot technology closer to the public, emphasizing its transformative impact on visual experiences. As consumer demand evolves, especially among the rising middle class, there is a growing willingness to pay for premium quality products. This shift has pushed companies to innovate and adjust their product structures, particularly in the television industry. Quantum dot technology has emerged as a game-changer, not only enhancing picture quality but also influencing various fields such as medical imaging, space exploration, and even food testing. Despite the rapid development of new display technologies like OLED, lasers, and AI, many have struggled to connect directly with consumers. The "last kilometer" challenge—bridging the gap between technology and users—has remained a key issue. The Quantum Dot Visual Carnival seeks to address this by creating a direct and immersive experience for consumers, helping them understand and appreciate the benefits of quantum dot TVs. At the event, attendees were highly engaged, showing great interest in learning about quantum dot technology through interactive Q&A sessions and hands-on TV demonstrations. Both TCL and Samsung showcased their high-end quantum dot TVs, which impressed visitors with their exceptional image quality. The TCL XESS X6 private cinema model, in particular, stood out with its cinematic experience, combining artistic design, advanced sound systems, and cutting-edge display technology. Samsung’s Q9F model, featuring a quantum dot coating, achieved 100% DCI-P3 color gamut at any brightness level, ensuring consistent color accuracy. Its improved black levels and HDR 2000 support made it a standout in the market. Meanwhile, the Q8C and Q7F models also demonstrated strong visual appeal, reinforcing Samsung’s leadership in quantum dot technology. TCL’s XESS series, including the X1, X2, X3, and X6 models, received significant attention. The X6, in particular, was praised for its luxury design and immersive audio-visual experience. Equipped with Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X sound technologies, along with a 12-channel Harman Kardon system, it offered a truly cinematic experience at home. According to attendees, the event helped change perceptions about quantum dot TVs, moving beyond initial price concerns to focus on superior performance, color accuracy, and brightness. As consumer awareness grows, the market for quantum dot TVs is expected to expand significantly, especially with increasing middle-class spending power. With continued support from manufacturers and industry partners, quantum dot technology is set to revolutionize the display market, offering consumers a new era of visual excellence. In 2018, the quantum dot TV market is poised for substantial growth, driven by both technological advancements and evolving consumer preferences.
