The subwoofer 2.1's initial training Klipsch Jazz R-10SW .vs. JBL LSR305 Do not give up

Because the special price for June was particularly fierce, in early July, like many people, they started prime sea bass and began to expect the first shot of life.

The shipment was about two weeks after the order was placed, and then the shipping time was almost the same as Amazon predicted. Into the first day of the volt, the master directly to the door

The box itself was intact, the sponge did not break, and the subwoofer had no scars. However, each screw on the back panel had some “battlefield” paint-removal effect (however, there were no scratches that were repeatedly disassembled or the screwdriver was stuck. Traces of

When I was on the power supply, I had a big, small, American-style double-headed plug, and I couldn't plug it into a non-dedicated socket. But the 8 word power cord has other electrical appliances, I chose a line body nominal parameter cross-sectional area and the original matching SONY Walkman eight-character power cord, you can use! However, please pay attention to the cross-sectional area of the copper core should not be too low or easy to heat aging leakage or even burned, and Shaoyou said that the thicker the power copper core of the gun, the less likely to affect the effect. . . If you buy a special socket, please buy a good quality to wait for this high power.

Talk about the problem of the signal line. Since I don't have an AV amplifier, I need a 3.5-inch stereo plug to be converted to a "mother" lotus to use that public Lotus' wireless transmitter. So the first night was wired up. There was no current sound, but there was an intervening sound when I touched it a little. So I decided to go wireless and bought a 3.5-round double mother lotus.

My wiring is like this: (Yes, because there is no funding for the following figures are like this)

The bass effect at the beginning was very disappointing. And I do not like to sell the same as the Edifier S1000 speaker, low volume and slow bulk, of course, diving is completely beyond the 5-inch speaker. Sound pressure kills my small room. Just under the same input signal, the JBL speaker is on half, and the subwoofer can only open one-eighth. And the convergence between "insufficient" and "excessive" is almost impossible.

This made it to the weekend because something happened again and it was the next weekend and finally the artillery could be tuned. The artillery is to be adjusted, why? Because in the small room, the frequency response curve of 20Hz-100Hz is generally the hardest hit area. This frequency band is particularly vulnerable to various non-audio equipment factors such as room layout, ornaments, materials, and so on. The frequency response curves are all in the Dafeng Valley, so professionals have an EQ customized service, which is what your home is for you. Live sound measurement, and then use software to adjust the gain and loss of each frequency to make the sense of hearing as consistent as possible.

Therefore, the sound is not good, not necessarily the fault of the cannon! In situ conversion of expensive guns does not necessarily go hand in hand!

And the "truncation" of the frequency and the bass deduction is just a tool, not a dial switch or an improvement! The first thing to understand is how many frequency peaks you want to eliminate before you can use the equipment (if appropriate). Sometimes the stuffed socks have to be stuffed. The padding towel has to be padded. The hanging pieces of clothing have to be hung all year round. The moving furniture blocks the door and the bed sleeps during the day and the speaker sleeps at night.

Advanced AV equipment will send a microphone, but every day I eat rice with bibimbap, how can I let myself pick their hands. Only use their own ears as microphones. So with the following curve:

This is what I've done with the sweep software, and I've drawn it out based on my own loudness impression. This is not the so-called metaphysical beauty of Taishan or Huashan insurance. It is loud and easy to distinguish. The software used is called Test Tone Generator and it is easy to download. The configuration interface is like this:

The first one is a long ring at the specified frequency. The current frequency is 37.8Hz. You can use the “#” and “b” buttons to move up and down one scale. Another criterion for good or bad bass is to be able to hear do-re-mi. This step is to make measurements, mainly by slowly increasing from low to high, to find the exact location of the peaks and valleys.

The next one is to do a 45Hz to 300Hz frequency scan, 3 seconds for a cycle, high and low back and forth sweep. This is the adjustment device. You can feel the previous peaks and valleys in real time, and feel more smooth and natural as you adjust the device.

This subwoofer is not like many online self-made guns can dive to 20Hz, in fact, there is no obvious "sound" (audible but too easy to be covered by other sounds) to 40Hz, the sound pressure begins to rise rapidly, about 59Hz. It was the first point in the “feeling of building shock”. As the frequency continues to increase, loudness drops, and 65 Hz is a relatively quiet spot, but it is still louder than the previous 45 Hz. Further up, there is a slight “shock building” peak at about 89 Hz, but this segment is already fast intersecting with the frequency band of Jbl's 5-inch box, and it is not enough to simply consider the subwoofer.

After the preliminary impression was confirmed, I began to wonder how to eliminate these two points. After trying a lot of materials, pads and gears, I will not elaborate on them. And because of the material, any audio equipment has a resonant frequency, which is unavoidable, and headphones are also available. The solution is to make music and movies to avoid this frequency. And my experience is too shallow. If I don't know what the source of the peak is (resonance, desktop, ground, echo), it is difficult to adjust the layout. So this is the beginning of training.

The final result is to adjust the volume of the JBL to full scale and dial back to the “triple” touch scale. The low-high frequency gain is 0db; the frequency of the subwoofer is cut off and the volume is “outside the eyes of eight”. (See photo above). The reason is that the subwoofer is distorted by a small amount of sound when it is too loud, so the volume of the device is adjusted uniformly and the volume of the sound source is reduced.

Open the movie to see a few scenes and take a look at the Dolby promo. Well, there isn't much trouble. Then open the music and listen to some popular Grammy. The drums are acceptable. Classical low bass, there will be no problem.

Turn off the subwoofer and the ear is taken out. I'm sure the gun is working and it's not me.

knock off!
