Incandescent delisting 20W energy-saving lamps to seize the vacancy in the market for 100-watt incandescent lamps

According to the national roadmap for eliminating incandescent lamps, since October 1, 2012, domestic imports and sales of ordinary lighting incandescent lamps of 100 watts or more will be banned. This also marks that the 100-watt incandescent lamp will officially withdraw from the domestic mainstream lighting market.

At present, the elimination of incandescent lamps above 100 watts in some cities of the country is proceeding in an orderly manner. However, the reporter found that in some lighting stores and hardware stores, there are still sales of 100-watt incandescent lamps.

As for the reason why incandescent lamps are still on sale, first of all, the prices of energy-saving lamps and incandescent lamps are quite different. In some areas where energy-saving awareness is relatively backward, the demand for incandescent lamps is still large; secondly, policy propaganda is not in place, many sellers and consumers The ban on the sale of 100-watt incandescent lamps is not known. From this point of view, the complete elimination of incandescent lamps requires a long-term, gradual process.

However, for LED lighting companies, the policy of eliminating 100-watt incandescent lamps has not brought them much benefit. In contrast, the sales of 20W energy-saving lamps replacing 100-watt incandescent lamps are very hot, becoming the biggest winner in the first round of the delisting policy of incandescent lamps.

The market response is not warm

At present, domestic incandescent lamps of 100 watts and above are mainly used in some engineering projects, corridor lighting, hotel outdoor and some relatively backward county-level urban and rural home lighting, and in some occasions where long-term lighting is not required, the use of incandescent lamps It is also relatively more.

"The application range of incandescent lamps is relatively small, and the demand for high-power incandescent lamps of 100-watt class is even smaller. Therefore, this round of incandescent lamps is banned, and the impact on the lighting market is very limited." Qiaosen Electric Marketing Center Marketing Director Xiao According to the South, the 100-watt incandescent lamp has been discontinued long ago. Even in incandescent lamps used in hotels, the power is mostly below 60 watts.

In the reaction of the terminal market, Gaogong LED reporters visited the city lighting city and found that the 100-watt incandescent lamp did not completely fade out of the market in accordance with relevant regulations, and still sold in some lighting stores and hardware stores. At the same time, in the shopping malls that removed the incandescent lamps of 100 watts and above, the market space vacated by the exit of incandescent lamps was quickly replaced by 20W energy-saving lamps.

According to relevant calculations, under the current technical conditions, 100W incandescent lamps can be replaced by 20W energy-saving lamps or 10W LED lamps. The 100-watt incandescent lamp consumes 0.1 kWh per hour. It is used for 30 days a month. It uses 4 hours per day. The annual electricity consumption of each incandescent lamp is 12 degrees, while the power consumption of 20 watt energy-saving lamps. Only 2.4 degrees, 10 watt LED lights use only 1.2 degrees.

Pan Zheqin, general manager of Sanli Lighting, said: “Since the National Day holiday, the ban on the sale of incandescent lamps of 100W and above is generally quite good.” In fact, customers only need to make incandescent lamps and energy-saving lamps and LED lamps simple. Contrast, you can find that energy-saving lamps and LEDs and other power-saving effects are very obvious. Due to the obvious power saving effect, consumers are also willing to accept the use of 20W energy-saving lamps instead of incandescent lamps. However, due to cognitive and price constraints, consumers are somewhat hesitant about the demand for LEDs.

At present, the market price of 100W incandescent lamps is less than 3 yuan, while the price of 20W energy-saving lamps is about 10 yuan. In comparison, the price of a more high-end 10W LED lamp is about 50 yuan. Pan Zheqin said that due to the huge difference between the price of energy-saving lamps and LED lamps, consumers generally prefer to buy energy-saving lamps.

This also directly brings huge market opportunities to 20W energy-saving lamps.

“During the National Day, the sales volume of 20W energy-saving lamps has increased by 3 times.” A store in Shenzhen Yiju Lighting City said that even a 10W LED lamp of average quality should cost 40 yuan. Many consumers, especially middle-aged people, are more willing to purchase energy-saving. The status of lamps and energy-saving lamps as mainstream products in the current lighting market is still difficult to shake in the short term.

"LED light profit margin is large, but the price is expensive, and the price gap with energy-saving lamps is still large, and the quality is still very unstable." Pan Zheqin said that the current LED lighting promotion is weak, only after the market matures and stabilizes, can a large number Promotion.

According to industry insiders, for the subsequent 100W incandescent lamps, due to the large amount of use, the market demand is still quite strong, the most important is the low price. All these factors will lead to a gradual increase in the difficulty of promoting the subsequent ban.
