On the 11th, TCL Group Chief Operating Officer Bo Lianming revealed that the 8.5-generation TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display) project with an investment of 24.5 billion yuan will be put into operation in September 2011. The company is stepping up technology research and development and related training to strive to shorten the 8.5 generation line. In the initial stage of climbing, improve the yield as soon as possible.
Bo Lianming said that the company has invested more than 2 billion yuan in liquid crystal module projects. In 2009, it has already produced 6 production lines in batches. It produced 1.97 million LCD modules in the whole year and planned to produce 5.67 million pieces in 2010.
Bo Lianming made the above statement at the annual report performance analysis meeting. He also introduced, "In the second half of the year, the company's various businesses have a V-shaped reversal." Among them, LCD TVs contributed the most. In 2009, TCL Group sold 83.73 million LCD TVs, and the Chinese market sold 46.29 million units, up 215.8% year-on-year; the overseas market sold 37.44 million units, up 37.7% year-on-year.
"By continuous exploration in the field of application, domestic brands have now occupied a dominant position in the domestic market." Bo Lianming said that the development of new models such as LED TVs and Internet TVs has made domestic LCD TVs more light, beautiful and practical. “In terms of domestic market recognition and sales level, domestic brands are already ahead of Japanese and Korean brands, and this situation will not change in the short term.†He said that in 2010, TCL Group’s LED TV shipments will reach 30%.
He also revealed that TCL sold 1.141 million CRT TVs in the first two months of this year, an increase of 37.6%. The company did not withdraw from the CRT TV production plan in the short term.
MAPP is colorless in both liquid and gas form. It produces a relatively hot flame (2,976°C) with a high heat release in the primary lame (inner cone) (15,445kJ/m 3 ), less than for acetylene (18,890kJm 3 ) but much higher than for propane (10,433kJm 3 ). The secondary flame (outer cone) also gives off a high heat release, similar to propane and natural gas. The combination of a lower flame temperature, more distributed heat source and larger gas flows compared with acetylene results in a substantially slower pierce time.
