The combined technology allows for a lower cost, 60 Hz refreshed LCD panel that delivers the same image quality as the more expensive 120 Hz panel, giving the 120 Hz panel the same image quality as the most advanced 240 Hz panel. TV designers, especially in rapidly expanding markets such as China, can now design 3D-capable LCD TVs with higher image dynamic quality and contrast while reducing cost, simplifying design complexity and reducing time-to-market .
