1. Touch Screen Issues:

a. If the touch screen displays an error message, refer to the user manual and follow the troubleshooting steps provided based on the specific error code or message.

b. For NS series screens, if the lower right corner shows “connecting” but the screen remains blank, check the system menu to verify the NS COM port settings and ensure that the PLC protocol and baud rate are correctly configured. If a serial port is not in use, set it to NONE.

c. On NT31(C)/631(C) series screens, if the display shows “system initializing” and the screen does not appear, access the system menu to confirm the NT COM port settings and ensure they match the PLC protocol and baud rate. If the screen appears white or black, check the system control area of the NT and make sure the display is assigned to the correct channel.

d. For NT5Z/NP series screens, if messages like “Initial PLC Control Area Fail!!!” or “Communication Error 3” appear and the screen remains blank, check the communication settings in the man-machine interface/PT settings within the software. Ensure that the serial port configuration, PLC protocol, and baud rate are consistent between the HMI and the PLC.

2. PLC-Related Causes:

a. Damaged cables or incorrect wiring can cause communication failures. Always double-check all connections and ensure the wiring is properly installed according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

b. The PLC may be using the wrong protocol, such as HOST LINK or NTLINK, or the baud rate may not be set correctly. When working in online programming mode, transfer the settings to the PLC and verify that the DIP switches are properly configured to match the communication requirements.
