Qualcomm and Nikko signed a commercial wireless car wireless charging commercial license agreement

Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) and Nichicon Corporation (TSE: 6996) have entered into a wireless vehicle wireless charging (WEVC) license agreement. Under this partnership, Nichicon will integrate Qualcomm Halo® WEVC technology into its product lineup, with a focus on supporting plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and pure electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers in Asia. This collaboration enables Nichicon to develop, produce, and supply WEVC systems based on Qualcomm's advanced technology. Nikko, a key player in automotive power electronics, will now offer WEVC solutions backed by Qualcomm’s comprehensive technical support. As a trusted supplier with extensive operations across Asia—particularly in Japan—Nikko is well-positioned to drive the adoption of wireless charging technology in the region. Mr. Noguchi, CEO and Production Director of NECST Business Division, stated, “Our mission is to deliver high-quality, cutting-edge products that meet customer needs while considering cost efficiency. We are excited to provide industry-leading WEVC solutions that are future-focused and continuously evolving. The interoperability of this technology is crucial for enhancing driving experiences and promoting sustainable transportation. Our corporate values, 'Ko-do' (which means thinking and working), guide us in creating meaningful products that benefit society as a whole.” Steve Pazol, Vice President and General Manager of Wireless Charging at Qualcomm, added, “As a key Tier 1 supplier in Asia, Nichicon is an ideal partner for Qualcomm. We are pleased to expand our automotive supplier network in the region through this collaboration. Qualcomm Halo technology is designed with a system-wide approach, covering all aspects of WEVC systems—including multi-coil, dual-D, and ring magnet configurations. We remain committed to advancing wireless vehicle charging technology.” Under the agreement, Qualcomm has granted Nichicon a paid patent license to develop, manufacture, and supply WEVC systems using Qualcomm Halo technology. In addition, Qualcomm will provide a full suite of technology transfer resources to help Nichicon create a commercially viable and technically robust WEVC system, while also supporting the design of future enhanced versions of the technology.

HD Films

The Hydrogel Screen Protector is made of imported material with TPU as the base material and is combined with hydrogel. It has super ductility and retractability, and can perfectly adapt to curved screens and screens with excessively curved edges, so as to fit perfectly without leaving white edges, and basically does not affect the touch experience. It has a strong and effective self-healing function, is impact-resistant, durable, and has better toughness, and has a certain buffering effect on the collision of sharp objects.

The Hydrogel Film is very thin. The responsive, ultra-thin design gives you a bare-bones experience. It's not as thick as a Tempered Glass Screen Protector, so the hydrogel screen protector won't affect the weight and feel of the phone.

In terms of hand feel, the Hydrogel Screen Protective Film has a hydrophobic and oleophobic treatment, so it slides relatively smoothly, and there is no problem in using APP or playing games. In addition, the liquid spilled on it can be slipped off by just tilting it, which is very easy to clean and maintain.
