During the live experience session, attendees had the chance to test the smart speaker and TV Taobao integration. The demonstration revealed a future where AI and big data drive smart homes. Far-field voice interaction, seamless browsing and purchasing, and video-based interactivity were all on display, offering a glimpse into what the future holds.
In a real-world test, I stood about one meter away from the TV and said, “I want to buy a yoga mat.†After a short pause, TV Taobao displayed several options. When I selected the second one, it automatically navigated to the order page, filling in the default address and payment method. Within seconds, the purchase was completed with just a few spoken commands.
According to TV Taobao representatives, the platform can act as a pre-sale guide, help track orders, and even assist with after-sales service. It functions as a complete shopping manager, streamlining the entire process.
TV Taobao has already launched on platforms like Tmall Box and Xiaomi Box, successfully navigating major shopping events such as “Double 11†and “Double 12.†These successes reflect the strong technical foundation of the development team and showcase a powerful online shopping model tailored for OTT platforms, TV manufacturers, and telecom giants.
By opening up to cross-industry and cross-system collaborations, TV Taobao is paving the way for a more connected and intelligent future. Just like the phrase “open the door with sesame seeds†in “One Thousand and One Nights,†this partnership has unlocked endless possibilities.
