LIGHTECH introduces several phase control dimming LED drivers

Lightech Electronics has introduced its new product line, phase-controlled dimming LED drivers, and expands its production line to drive current levels of 350mA, 500mA and 700mA. Products include led-18-350-120-D, led-26-500-120-D and led-36-700-120-D.

These drivers are used internally for LED lighting fixtures and can be used directly with a 120V AC power supply | regulator line. They are able to control the dimming of led luminaires with the most common dimmers, with a darkness of only 0.1% of full light. The product supports standard bidirectional thyristor (TRIAC) dimmers or reverse phase control dimmers (tail edge dimmers).
Since the drive's controllable range of light is from 100% to 0.1%, this means that the same luminaire can be used as a night light or as an indoor lighting fixture.
The drive can drive up to 12 LEDs with a minimum of 3 drives. 12 series LEDs provide the most effective dimming effect (0.1%). The dimming effect of the six series LEDs is 0.5%, and the dimming effect of the three series LEDs is 1%.
In the output current, the 120Hz output ripple is typically less than 2%. For safety reasons, the output current is electrically isolated and UL Class 2 certified.
These products feature complete protection against shorts and opens on the output and a fully automatic reset function. In addition, these products have a complete overload voltage surge protection device to prevent lightning strikes on the power line.
These products have passed FCCB consumer electromagnetic interference certification. Each product can be used to feed back lead angles using the side or bottom of the surface junction box. These drives have been approved by Cree and can be used to drive Cree's LEDs. For a properly used 18W drive, its expected life expectancy will exceed 10 years.
