Chevron and Purui Optoelectronics jointly launched LED technology upgrade street lights

It is reported that Chevron Energy Solutions and Purui Optoelectronics have formed a unique alliance to promote innovation in the field of LED lighting technology, helping the city to significantly reduce electricity and maintenance costs. According to the plan, Chevron Energy Solutions, a branch of Chevron's energy service in the United States, will use LED technology to upgrade street lights, and generally does not require the city to pay upfront fees. LED street lights reduce electricity consumption by 50% compared to ordinary street lights, while maintenance costs are greatly reduced, allowing cities to use the savings to pay for installation costs.

In addition, these LED street lights provide better lighting quality for improved visibility, security, and security. In many cases, this upgrade will not have any impact on taxpayers other than significantly improving the lighting of the community. Both Livermore and Dublin in Alameda County, Northern California, are known for leading innovation, and they are participating in this unique LED technology pilot project and have upgraded their street lights with the technology of Purui Optoelectronics.

Street lights typically account for 10%-40% of a city's energy bills. According to a data, the energy used by street lights ranks third in the current local government's electricity expenditure. Simply transforming existing traditional street lights into Puri's LED street lights, many cities in the United States can reduce annual energy bills by up to 40%, or about $17 million.

The core component of the streetlight is an LED lighting module that can be quickly and easily installed or upgraded into an existing streetlight. Designed by Preh Optoelectronics, a leading innovator in solid-state lighting technology and solutions, the module includes light sources and other components that are most likely to experience rapid evolution. With advances in energy efficiency and performance technologies, it is expected that these modules will simply be replaced without upgrading the city's physical infrastructure.

Through this module, the city can also upgrade street lights to include sensing and networking functions in the future, allowing city managers to control the city's lighting and monitor traffic or remote areas, which is not possible with traditional street lights.
